Grilled Steak with Basil Infused Rice and Mixed Veggies

There is nothing more that I love to see on my plate than a good piece of well cooked meat. (This sentence originally could have been interpreted differently, but I decided to re-word it for all of those dirty minds out there – including myself. As I’m typing this, I’m not really sure why I chose to share this with you, but oh well…)

As I was saying… A nice steak with a few simple sides can be one dynamite meal. In this instance I coated the steak with olive oil before seasoning it with garlic salt, pepper, and rosemary and then placing it on my cast iron grill pan. For my sides, I threw in some chopped basil with my rice and heated up some frozen mixed vegetables, and voila! A meal fit for a king.
