How to Cook Perfect Eggs

It’s the weekend. You finally have time to make breakfast for yourself that’s more than pouring milk into a bowl of cereal. I’d say there’s a high likelihood that this meal will include eggs. The problem I used to face when trying to make whole eggs on the stove is that the bottom would get slightly crispy before the white was fully set. Not exactly the outcome I was seeking. Want to learn the secret to perfectly cooked sunny-side up eggs? I’ve got the answer you’ve been looking for.

The key to success is the oven. The advantage it provides over stove top cooking is even heat distribution to guarantee that your eggs cook properly. How?

  1. Crack your eggs into a lightly oiled, oven-safe, nonstick pan.
  2. Place into a preheated 350˚F oven.
  3. After 2-3 minutes, start checking to see if the white is set. It won’t take very long, so don’t walk away after you put the pan into the oven.

Baked Eggs

Season with salt and pepper after they come out of the oven and you’re ready to go. Makes a great, simple breakfast with bacon and toast. Also works as a great complement to your favorite pasta dish for dinner. Now you too can make perfect eggs to accompany any meal.

What’s your favorite dish to eat eggs with?

That’s one of my favorites too. Add in some hash browns and I’m in heaven!
